Bringing Communities Together with Ketcha Outdoors

With outdoor experiences including summer camps, after-school programs, the Farm & Forest Preschool, and the Portland Gear Hub, Ketcha Outdoors provides equitable access to outdoor experiences and gear, promoting well-being, sustainability, and resilient communities.


After joining Ketcha in 2023, Director of Development Tuck Barclay saw an opportunity to grow the organization’s annual giving and major giving strategies through more data-informed communication. With multiple program areas, Ketcha had multiple constituencies being tracked in separate systems, and Barclay wanted to centralize donor and prospect records in Ketcha’s Bloomerang CRM. Foreside Analytics helped clean, format, and de-duplicate multiple constituent lists and integrate over 2,000 new constituent records into Bloomerang, establishing a central hub for Ketcha to manage donor and prospect relationships. 

Foreside Analytics understood our needs, designed and implemented a service plan that exceeded our expectations.

After integrating the new records, Ketcha also wanted to leverage Bloomerang’s tie-in with the wealth screening platform DonorSearch to run their first-ever comprehensive screening. Foreside applied segmentation to the screening data to create data-informed prospect lists for annual giving, major giving, and a capital campaign. Foreside also validated the DonorSearch wealth & philanthropy scores for top prospects to ensure confidence in the data. This validation support allowed Ketcha to quickly identify top prospects without the time-consuming work of sifting through thousands of records. 


By partnering with Foreside, Ketcha gained new tools to prioritize deeper engagement with donors and prospects. “We have a more complete and clean constituent database,” said Barclay. “As a result of this service, we are now able to focus our engagement work in a more organized and strategic way.”
